Zilal (ظلال) is the plural of zill, shade. In Egypt the shade is where life happens: under the mashrabiya, the balcony awning, the trees by the Nile.
We make modest, refined pieces that stay calm indoors. Step into the sunlight and a hidden print blooms into colour. Walk back inside and it rests again.
